Connection
to the house

Wyatt

Your
cat enclosure is connected to your house with a pet door – generally in
a window. Your cat can come and go as it pleases to various
modules (see section on Modules and Sizes) in your garden (or on your
balcony) and back inside again.
Your
enclosure can also be connected to your garden shed or a garage.

Aerial
tunnels connect to the house and to various modules which can be placed
anywhere in the garden.
They
are extremely versatile and can change direction and levels easily.
They
can be placed over pathways so you can walk underneath.
They
can go up to a cat door in a window on the upper level.
Aerial
tunnels can go up high or through the branches of trees.
They
can run under the eaves – a real favourite for cats where they
have a high vantage point and protection from the sun and rain.
Aerial
tunnels are also great places to stretch out in and shoot the breeze on
hot nights or prowl through the bushes.
Cats
can check out the neighbourhood from high or catch the winter sunshine.
They
can span four metres without requiring any support.

A
variety of modules and sizes are available –a number can be extended in
height. (See Modules and sizes section). Click here for more details and prices.
They
can be placed anywhere in the garden, courtyard or balcony. Modules are
furnished with steps for jumping and climbing and hammocks for resting
on.
Cats
can move freely from the house to different modules – they get to
choose where and when they want to go which diminishes their sense of
being contained.
Our
hammocks are just purrfect for snoozing. Choose triangular which is
great for just one cat (left) - or rectangular, where one or more cats
can comfortably curl up (right).
The
Toilet module is very popular - no more smelly litter in the
house! They come with a cover and are tall enough to fit a covered
cat tray with swing door for extra privacy. We try and place them
in a sheltered spot under the eaves.
Our
small modules are ideal to use as a “cat tree-house."
Modules
can also be placed around tree trucks which are great inbuilt
scratching posts. The design of your Catnip cat enclosure is only
limited by your imagination!

Retirement
Villages

Today, an increasing
number of retirement and lifestyle villages allow prospective residents
to move in with their pet cat if they have a cat enclosure.
It is
a “win win” situation for all - a happy new resident is gained, village
bird and wildlife is protected and the cat is safe, secure and unable
to roam and cause problems with neighbouring residents.
We
can match the colour of the modules to the building fabric, install
with minimal or no drilling and install a toilet module which means no
more litter inside the dwelling. The enclosure can be installed
below fence height if required.

Difficult
Situations

Our cat enclosures
can be easily custom designed to go around or over objects such as
paths, downpipes, doors, water heaters, air conditioning units, lights
etc.
They
can go up to connect to a cat door on an upper floor or run above a
clothesline.
They
can be installed over outward opening doors.
A
small exit box on a wall under the eaves can be utilised as a lookout
post. Aerial tunnels can be used to run along retaining
walls.

Snake
Proofing

We can snake proof
our modules by using a special mesh on the lower part of the module or
by hanging the module on a wall.
